Lisa is the mother of 2 great kids: Lucas age 7 and Makenzie age 2. Lisa has been employed by BB&B since the spring of 2012. She has cloth diapered and used carriers with her daughter. She also occasionally subs for our Music & More classes. Lisa is working on completing her Birth Doula certification through DONA International.

These breastfeeding counselors are mothers who each have personal experience breastfeeding four children! They are independently certified through Breastfeeding USA. BB&B is pleased to have the Cedar Rapids Chapter of BFUSA use our classroom space for meetings and breastfeeding consultations.

Tammy Bayer, CD(DONA), LCCE

Owner, Doula, Childbirth Educator,

Certified Breastfeeding Support Specialist

Tammy is the mother of an active 9 year old daughter who often helps mom at work during school breaks and summer vacation. Tammy is a certified birth doula through DONA International and a postpartum doula.. She is a certified childbirth educator with Lamaze and a Lamaze Certified Breastfeeding Support Educator. She is a volunteer doula for Operation Special Delivery, an organization that provides doulas for pregnant women whose husbands or partners will be deployed at the time that they are due to give birth.

Tammy has been working with pregnant and birthing women since the birth of her daughter in 2003. Prior to that she was a special education teacher. Tammy enjoys using her teaching background while working with children of all ages and to educate women about their birthing options. She is available to speak to groups about a wide variety of pregnancy, birthing and parenting topics. Learn more about doula services on our Doula Registry page.

Lindsay Kopp

Lindsay is the mother of an adorable 4 year old boy and a beautiful 2 year old girl. Lindsay has been employed by BB&B since July 2009. Lindsay has extensive retail experience and can help you find the perfect product to meet your needs. She also occasionally subs for our Music & More classes.

We are very fortunate to have a wonderful group of women brought together to fulfill our mission of supporting growing families in Eastern Iowa.

Angela Harger

Office & Retail Assistant

Angela wears many hats. When she’s not working at BB&B, she’s busy ferrying her four children (13, 11, 8 and 2) to various activities, sewing cloth diapers, making up new frozen custard flavors, taking care of her ‘livestock’ (cats, guinea pigs, fish and chickens), doing laundry, baking, or maybe even occasionally cleaning her house. If she has any free time, she enjoys reading, Since starting at BB&B in October of 2011, she has really enjoyed getting to know the wonderful customers and helping them find the perfect diaper, carrier, or other product.

Gayle Johnson

Office & Retail Assistant

Gayle is the mother of 5 and grandmother of 5 granddaughters (ages 10 months-12 years)! She moved to Iowa in April of 2012 from St. Cloud, MN, where she was a massage therapist, acting director and instructor at a massage school, and a chiropractic assistant. When she’s not working at BB&B, she enjoys knitting, crafting, quilting, reading, and visiting with the chickens in the backyard.
