Lauren Parsons

Office & Retail Assistant, Doula

Lauren is the mother of 3 beautiful little girls including a 5 year old and 2 year old twins. Her birth and parenting experiences led her to work on certification as a birth and postpartum doula through DONA International. She is also in the process of earning her childbirth certification through Birthing From Within.

Lauren has been with BB&B since April 2007. She is our product expert having tried virtually every product we sell with her own children. She also teaches our Sibling Class and occasionally subs for our Music & More classes.

Tammy Bayer, CD(DONA), LCCE

Owner, Doula, Childbirth Educator,

Certified Breastfeeding Support Specialist

Tammy is the mother of an active 8 year old daughter who often helps mom at work during school breaks and summer vacation. Tammy is a certified birth doula through DONA International, a postpartum doula, and is the Iowa State Representative for DONA International. She is a certified childbirth educator with Lamaze and a Lamaze Certified Breastfeeding Support Educator. Tammy is on the board of the EIDA (Eastern Iowa Doula Association) and a member of Friends of Iowa Midwives. She is a volunteer doula for Operation Special Delivery, an organization that provides doulas for pregnant women whose husbands or partners will be deployed at the time that they are due to give birth.

Tammy has been working with pregnant and birthing women since the birth of her daughter in 2003. Prior to that she was a special education teacher. Tammy enjoys using her teaching background while working with children of all ages and to educate women about their birthing options. She is available to speak to groups about a wide variety of pregnancy, birthing and parenting topics. Learn more about doula services on our Doula Registry page.

Lindsay is the mother of an adorable 4 year old boy and a beautiful 1 year old girl.

Lindsay has been employed by BB&B since July 2009. Lindsay has extensive retail experience and can help you find the perfect product to meet your needs. She also occasionally subs for our Music & More classes.

Clare Rood

Office & Retail Assistant

Clare is the mother of a sweet 3 year old little boy. She is currently working on her nursing certification.

Clare has been employed by BB&B since July 2009. She has cloth diapered and used carriers with her son. She also occasionally subs for our Music & More classes.

We are very fortunate to have a wonderful group of women brought together to support our mission of supporting growing families in Eastern Iowa. Almost everyone has several roles around the center.

Lindsay is the mother of 2 sweet sons, ages 5 and 1. She has a degree in Sign Language Interpreting.

Lindsay has been employed by BB&B since June 2010. She personally uses cloth diapers and carriers with her sons. She also occasionally subs for our Music & More classes.
